How to wash your cashmere?
We recommend not to wash your cashmere product often. Cashmere is a self-cleaning material, and smell dissipates from it quickly. You can air it outdoors or hang it in the bathroom while showering and let the steam clean it.
Hand washing
Soak the cashmere in lukewarm water and liquid detergent made for wool for a minute or two. Gently lift the product in and out of the water a couple of times. Do NOT wring or rub the material. After washing, gently press the water out using your palm. Then lay it flat on a towel and gently roll the towel up to remove excess water. Remove the cashmere and lay it flat on a fresh dry towel to air-dry in the shade. Remember never to stretch the fabric. If there is a stain, avoid rubbing the stain - blot only.
Ironing
Place the cashmere in between two towels when ironing.
Storage
Cashmere products are better folded while in storage. Cashmere can attract pests such as moths. For long term storage, pack the item in an airtight bag together with a piece of cedar wood or dried lavender (natural insect repellent).
